Hier im Traum
Here in a Dream
[1-5] Some passengers might feel that they are entering a dream as they climb aboard the completely changed city tram. The use of minimal material, magenta film on the windows and filtered lighting, has made it possible to change the complete space within the tram, the effect by day and night and to stimulate perceptions.
The complete carriage is bathed in a new magenta light. All colours, the seats, the walls, the floor are changed because of it, the space, because of this transformation, is perceived in a new and surprising way.
The passengers appear also in a "new light". The daily ride in the city tram, a ride from a to be, has become a totally new experience. The passengers are simultaneously observers, even when unconsciously, of the meeting of daily life with an artwork, are part of the change and the resultant change in perceptions.
The magenta film on the windows also change the environment. The view of the oft passed city will be seen differently, perhaps as in a dream.
It effect in its entirety in three dimensions:
Inside, the change of the complete space and the people.
From the inside out, the complete environment is changed.
From outside in, particularly noticeable at night, a pink coloured tram moving through the city.
