[1-2] "The photographs appear to resemble paintings, but show a noticeable blurring and seem to play with the allure of the fleeting suggestion. Dagmar Pachtner has combined tradition and technology to create a wonderfully aesthetic work. Using the Ink-Jet technique, a conventional and very modern printing process for large format photographs, the photographs were printed on a traditional Japanese Washi paper.
Washi paper is a hand made paper with an interesting, irregular structure which gives the picture a physical quality. Dagmar Pachtner with this work bridges the gap between the traditional and the modern."
