[1-2] The "path" of the material earth in my work is actually a path back: via ceramic material, ceramic sculpture, in effect burnt earth, to the discussion about the material earth, also to the conscious connotations of the contents of such material before the artistic handling and the finding of a central theme.

This earlier work was awarded the prize in 1998 during the first Landshut Culture Prize when it was also bought.
